The bag lives inside the handle. You scoop, the clumps drop straight into it, you pull the bag out and tie it. No holding a carrier bag open with one hand while you aim with the other.
- 🧤You never touch the waste. Scoop, pull, tie. Your hand stays on the handle the whole time.
- 🌀Slotted head sifts as you lift. Clean litter falls back into the tray, clumps stay in the scoop.
- 👃Tied off straight away. Nothing sits open in the bin while the smell spreads through the room.
- 🎯26 cm head, 9 cm wide. Wide enough to clear a tray in a few passes, narrow enough to reach the corners of a covered box.
How it works
- Load a roll once. A roll drops into the drawer at the back of the handle and you thread the end through. Takes about five seconds, and one roll lasts you weeks.
- Scoop as normal. The slots sift the clean litter back into the tray on the way up, so only the clumps stay in the head — and the head empties straight down into the bag sitting under it.
- Pull, tie, bin. Draw the bag out of the handle, knot it, drop it in the bin. Your hand never goes near the waste and nothing sits open in the room.

Against a normal scoop and a carrier bag
| Normal scoop + bag | Scoop & Bag | |
|---|---|---|
| Hands needed | Two — one holds the bag open | One |
| Where the waste goes | Tipped across a gap, some of it misses | Straight down into the bag under the head |
| Bag supply | Whatever carrier bag you can find | Roll already in the handle, 5 spare rolls in the box |
| Smell | Bag sits open until you get to the bin | Tied off at the tray |
| Cost after the first month | Free bags, if you have them | Refill rolls, a few dollars a year |
What you get
| In the box | 1 × Scoop & Bag, 5 × refill rolls free |
| Size | 26 × 9 cm (about 10 × 3.5 in) |
| Weight | 324 g (about 11.4 oz) |
| Material | ABS body, non-slip handle |
| Refill rolls | Standard 2 × 6 cm rolls — sold everywhere, not a locked-in cartridge |

| Cleaning | Rinse the head under the tap, wipe the body |
Is it right for you?
Yes, if
- ✓You scoop daily and the bag part is the bit you put off.
- ✓The tray is somewhere you do not want an open bag sitting — a bathroom, a hallway, a studio.
- ✓You use clumping litter and want the clean litter sifted back rather than thrown out.
- ✓One or two cats, one tray.
Probably not, if
- ×You already own an automatic self-cleaning box. This does not compete with that.
- ×You run a shelter or four-plus trays — at that volume you want a big flat sifter and a bin liner.
- ×You use very fine, non-clumping sand. It sifts slowly.
- ×You want something dishwasher-safe. Hand-rinse only.

Honest note
This is a scoop with a bag holder built into it, not a machine. It will not clean the tray for you, and it will not make a neglected tray smell fine. What it removes is the annoying part — the bag that will not stay open, the litter that misses, the walk to the bin holding something you would rather not be holding. That is the whole pitch. If that is not worth $49 to you, we would rather you kept your money than bought it and regretted it.
Where these come from: these are reviews of this exact scoop left by buyers of the maker we source from, shared with us and published as written — photos, wording and ratings unchanged. Purrtap has not collected its own reviews for this item yet; when we do, they will sit here alongside these and we will label which is which.
